El objetivo principal de esta tesis consiste en analizar la presencia de María Magdalena en las producciones audiovisuales del periodo comprendido entre 1897 y 2014. Dichas producciones proceden de Europa, Estados Unidos, Canadá y México. El marco metodológico general a partir del que se plantea el análisis es la iconología, entendida como Zwichenraum o tierra de confluencias. En concreto, la noción de continuidad y variación, iniciada por Aby Warburg y continuada por Fritz Saxl, es la principal cuestión teórica en la que se basa la aproximación. Vertical Beam Polarization at MAMI

For the first time a vertically polarized electron beam has been used for physics experiments at MAMI in the energy range between 180 and 855 MeV. The beam-normal single-spin asymmetry $A_{\mathrm{n}}$, which is a direct probe of higher-order photon exchange beyond the first Born approximation, has been measured in the reaction $^{12}\mathrm C(\vec e,e')^{12}\mathrm C$. Vertical polarization orientation was necessary to measure this asymmetry with the existing experimental setup. In this paper we describe the procedure to orient the electron polarization vector vertically, and the concept of determining both its magnitude and orientation with the available setup. The aim of this PhD is to study the optimal transportation theory in some abstract Wiener space. You can find the results in four main parts and they are aboutThe convexity of the relative entropy. We will extend the well known results in finite dimension to the Wiener space, endowed with the uniform norm. To be precise the relative entropy is (at least weakly) geodesically 1-convex in the sense of the optimal transportation in the Wiener space.The measures with logarithmic concave density. Transport equations and quasi-invariant flows on the Wiener space

Abstract We shall investigate on vector fields of low regularity on the Wiener space, with divergence having low exponential integrability. We prove that the vector field generates a flow of quasi-invariant measurable maps with density belonging to the space L log L . An explicit expression for the density is also given.

M/M/1 queue in two alternating environments and its heavy traffic approximation

We investigate an M/M/1 queue operating in two switching environments, where the switch is governed by a two-state time-homogeneous Markov chain. This model allows to describe a system that is subject to regular operating phases alternating with anomalous working phases or random repairing periods. We first obtain the steady-state distribution of the process in terms of a generalized mixture of two geometric distributions. In the special case when only one kind of switch is allowed, we analyze the transient distribution, and investigate the busy period problem.
